The Be Like Josh (BLJ) Foundation is a non profit organization dedicated to the study and advocacy of dogs with neurological disabilities. Founded by Josh's service human, Kimberly Elliot, the BLJ was created after Kimberly and her husband, Andrew, adopted Josh - a goldendoodle puppy with cerebellar hypoplasia - and realized the lack of research, advocacy and education on dogs with neurological diagnoses and disabilities. Recognizing the full life many dogs with disabilities can have, Kimberly set forth a mission to turn the tide and educate others on inclusion, acceptance and neurological dog rescue. Her passion, work, impact and no-nonsense personality is loved and felt far and wide with followers from all of the world. She and Andrew live in Arizona with their seven dogs and are preparing to embark on an exciting two-year educational tour of the United States to further educate others - including teachers, students in schools and veterinarian offices - on the gift and quality of life that can be offered to dogs with neurological disabilities. It is our sheer honor to use our 5K/10K Fun Run efforts to help raise money for the upcoming educational tour.
